Dunluce Castle Proposal Shoot

On the blog today I’m featuring Bella & Kevin’s surprise Dunluce Castle Proposal Shoot which was absolutely amazing.

United States to Northern Ireland Causeway Coast

If you’ve visited the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland, you’ll know that one of the most popular locations to stop off at is Dunluce Castle. It is located almost beside the Whiterocks Beach and is only a short drive from both Bushmills and Portrush. Kevin and Bella travelled all the way from the United States and planned a 10 day road trip around Ireland. They travelled up from Dublin to spend a few days on the North Coast. Kevin reached out to me as he planned to surprise Bella with a proposal, so we began hatching a plan and finding the perfect backdrop his surprise proposal.

Surprise Proposal Shoot At Dunluce Castle

We decided that Dunluce Castle would make the perfect spot for the surprise proposal shoot – and it didn’t disappoint. I’m always very humbled when people invite me in to witness and photograph moments like this.

Dunluce Castle is one of the most picturesque Irish castles, the ruins date mainly from the 16th and 17th centuries. It was inhabited by both the feuding McQuillan and MacDonnell clans. However, the best photographic views of the Castle aren’t from the grounds of the Castle…

YES

Bella said YES (obviously!) and we then spent the next couple of hours exploring the coastline, stopping off at different locations and shooting some relaxed engagement portraits for them.
