Larchfield Estate Wedding Photographer

There are some wedding venues that just suit a relaxed wedding day, and Larchfield Estate is definitely one of them.

Tucked away in the County Down countryside, it has a brilliant mixture of beautiful gardens, old stone buildings, courtyards and rustic spaces. From a photography point of view, that variety is pretty hard to beat.

But what I particularly love about a wedding at Larchfield Estate is that you don’t have to disappear for ages to get great photographs.

Relaxed Wedding Photography at Larchfield Estate

My approach to weddings has always been pretty simple: I want you to actually enjoy your wedding.

I’ll spend most of the day photographing things naturally as they happen. The hugs, laughs, reactions, questionable dance moves and all the little moments going on around you.

Of course, we’ll still get some great photographs of the two of you, but that doesn’t mean an hour-long photoshoot.

At Larchfield, we can take a short wander around the estate, use a few different locations and then get you straight back to your guests.

It’s relaxed, uncomplicated and definitely no awkward posing.

So Many Great Spots for Photographs

The great thing about wedding photography at Larchfield Estate is the amount of variety within a relatively small area.

The walled gardens are brilliant during the warmer months, while the cobbled courtyards, old stonework and barn give the venue loads of character all year round.

That variety also means we don’t need perfect weather to create great photographs. And, this being Northern Ireland, that’s always handy!

If we do get a great sunset, however, I’ll normally suggest we sneak away for another ten minutes in the evening. The light is softer, you’re usually much more relaxed by that stage and it can be a brilliant little break before heading back to the party.

Your Wedding Isn’t My Photoshoot

Ultimately, I want your photographs to remind you of what your wedding actually felt like.

I don’t want to manufacture moments that weren’t there or spend half your drinks reception arranging photographs.

Your wedding isn’t my photoshoot. It’s about you, your family, your friends and having an amazing day together.

So if you’re planning a wedding at Larchfield and you’re looking for a Larchfield Estate wedding photographer with a relaxed, natural and documentary approach, I’d love to hear what you’re planning.
