Northern Ireland Landscape Photography – Behind the scenes

In Northern Ireland our scenery is breathtaking. Landscape photography from Steven Hanna shows off some of our most beautiful sights – But have you ever wondered how much work going into capturing the perfect shot? Recently Steven took his camera out and filmed a behind the scenes video. He takes us out on the road with him and explains how he picks out the location to create his stunning landscape prints and canvases Lets take a behind the scenes look at my recent landscape photography trip to the Giant’s Causeway on the Causeway Coast. Heading to the Great Stookan, Steven shows us how he has set up his camera in a good position to capture the beauty of the bay as the sun sets. He talks us through his composition and set up and gives any amateur photographer lots of advice and inspiration. If you aren’t a keen photographer then make sure you still watch the full video to take in all of those incredible views! It can be a waiting game but we think that Stevens trip to Great Stookan was totally worth it! Psalm 19

Psalm 19

I’ve just returned from a super relaxing holiday on the North Coast.  It’s been an extremely busy year so far and so it was great to take time out and chill for a week.  We were staying in a lovely holiday cottage right at the water’s edge, overlooking Portstewart Strand.  I brought the camera along just in case as we had a prime view looking out to sea.  Although this was a holiday, I still managed a few sunsets, as I literally was able to stand with the patio doors open and shoot as I pleased!     This shot was taken just a few feet away from our cottage.  I had been reminded earlier that day of some amazing words from Psalm 19, which I think (for me anyway) sums up this image perfectly.  These are from the Message translation.   1-2 God’s glory is on tour in the skies,     God-craft on exhibit across the horizon. Madame Day holds classes every morning,     Professor Night lectures each evening. 3-4 Their words aren’t heard,     their voices aren’t recorded, But their silence fills the earth:     unspoken truth is spoken everywhere. 4-5 God makes a huge dome     for the sun—a superdome! The morning sun’s a new husband     leaping from his honeymoon bed, The daybreaking sun an athlete     racing to the tape. 6 That’s how God’s Word vaults across the skies     from sunrise to sunset, Melting ice, scorching deserts,     warming hearts to faith. 7-9 The revelation of God is whole     and pulls our lives together. The signposts of God are clear     and point out the right road. The life-maps of God are right,     showing the way to joy. The directions of God are plain     and easy...
