Roe Park Resort Wedding | Lynda & Karl

Roe Park Resort Wedding | Lynda & Karl

A few weeks back I had the absolute honour to shoot Lynda & Karl’s wedding at the Roe Park Resort in Limavady.  They were married in a beautiful little country church just outside Antrim.  After their ceremony, we headed to the Antrim Castle Gardens for their wedding photography.  The Castle Gardens are a really popular location for weddings and provide so much scope for creativity no matter what the weather is like.  I’ve shot there in all sorts of weather conditions! Lynda & Karl met at a young farmer’s night out in Kelly’s where Lynda danced on his broken ankle!  Three years later, on a wintery Sunday morning in Hyde Park in London, Karl popped the question and Lynda obviously said YES!  I asked Lynda what she most enjoyed about planing her wedding.  She said, “Spending time as a couple, making decisions and picking things that are personal to us and our day.  I think it’s very important that the groom-to-be has things he would like as well.  Also spending time with my mum, sister and bridesmaids dress shopping.  Day trips all round the country side.” I also asked her if there was any advice she would give brides-to-be.  “Sleep on every decision you make unless you are 100% sure.  Go dress shopping well in advance and visit everywhere you can.  If you find a dress, try it on in more then one shop to be sure it’s the dress for you as it can look different and feel different the second time.  The same with bridesmaid dresses – make sure all the girls feel happy and confident.” Lynda...

Naomi & Neil ~ Roe Park Resort Wedding Photography

I had a lot of trouble narrowing down the images from Naomi & Neil’s wedding for this blog post, so you’ll see as you begin to scroll down that I decided to leave most of them in, so apologies for the long post!  Naomi & Neil were married in Ballykeel Presbyterian Church and held their reception at the gorgeous Roe Park Resort in Limavady. The weather turned a little ‘wet’ pretty much as soon as we arrived onto the beach for the photos, but we waited it out and eventually the rain stopped.  I had a lot of fun working with three of my favourite vendors on this wedding – Lynda & Nigel from Leaf Designs, Sean from Timeless Productions NI & also the dynamic duo that is Trevor & Hugo from Champagne...

Jayne & Mark – Roe Park Resort Wedding

Today on the blog is the wedding of Jayne & Mark.  It’s always a little ‘strange’ when you know the people who you’re shooting, in this case I had gone to school with Mark.  But at the same time, it’s nice that people trust you with your wedding day.  My day, as usual, began at Jayne’s house for some detail shots and hair / make-up.  I always love going to the bride’s house the morning of the wedding as it gives you a bit of an insight into how everyone is feeling.  You experience all the excitement, nerves, tears, laughs… After this I then headed straight to the church to shoot some images of Mark and the guys.  After the ceremony in Kells, we headed to the Dog Leap gardens for the main photos before arriving at the Roe Park Resort in Limavady.  We just about made it in before the rain started. Was great working with David Foster again on video and also Trevor & Hugo from Champagne Moments wedding cars. Here are a few of my favourite...
